Columbarium

Columbarium niches provide a permanent resting place for families choosing cremation. They are typically built on cemetery grounds as free standing unit. Sometimes columbarium niches are built in a chapel, as part of another building or in a mausoleum. Columbarium niches are designed various shapes and sizes. The front of the columbarium niche, or cover as it is commonly referred to, is typically made of granite or marble which can be engraved with a loved one’s name, dates of birth and death, and epitaphs.
